She gave good advice, however she provided no correlation as to why kids talking to one another through "a screen" makes them any less able to speak to one another in person.
Plenty of young people can maintain conversations face to face, not to mention that having a conversation through messages doesn't make the conversation any less of a conversation. As long as you're getting your opinions out, and are reading, analyzing and respectfully responding to the other person's opinions, it's still a good conversation. -
