Thank you!! Great presentation - camera, lighting and detailed explanation!!! I have a 2002 CRV that I'm trying to keep on the road and it has just developed the same type of leak you described and resolved.

sorry but I don't see how you got it off so easy by just taking the passenger wheel off. we are having the same problem with a major oil leak and we found out that it is this problem. but my dad has been working on it and spent most of the day and I also just spent 4 hours right along with him trying to get the bolt out that is under the hump in the shield. even with taking the tire off we still haven't got that last bolt out.

I bought only the OEM Honda gasket to save a few dollars and the leak never stop. I follow your recommendation and get complete new after market module (gasket included). $65 plus S/H from Rockauto.com. Problem solved! No more leaks! Thanks for your video!

hey is your crv a 4wd auto? what year? I have to do the same but my oil control valve is separate, and on the top right side of the engine block just above the alternator. For the life of me I can't get the proper beta on what the actual part code is but I think it's 15830-PNC-003
Anyways, Thanks! -
Thanks bro! my woman's been nagging me to get out CRV to the shop for this and now I can fix it myself! just saved me 300 big ones that's means a lot thank you!!!

Clever way of getting to it! Never thought to remove passenger tire. You can clearly see and get to it better your way

EDDIE your video is a life saver man. Thank you for posting it for everyone to find.

Just had Honda diagnose a slight leak. Repair quote was $412.00 @ Yonkers.

Is this a right or left hand drive???
-
what is that thing plugged into?
-
at the 0:57 mark what is the thing next to the hole below the solenoid

I just completed the install everything went great. I have to say to get the new 10 mm hex socketsThey work awsome. My old 10mm just stripped out on the bolts. 👍😀💯💥. Thanks for the video

Great video this was a perfect way to do it thank you
-
I don't know if you already answered this but do you have to drain the oil prior to taking the solonoid off?
-
At 0:32 in the video as the camera passes by your strut it looks like the strut is leaking...has it given you problems yet? Also, thanks for the video, mine is also leaking and I am going to change it soon.
