Can this block incoming light or not? All I can see in this video is viewing to viewport through dark shade and projecting images on top of the view. As a result, nothing darker (or "black") than the background view (the room in this case) can be displayed with seriously limits the content that can be displayed. The demo avoids this issue very nicely by always using white or nearly white colors.

Looks like you've got some work to do on tracking.

Imagine AR where random things like squids appear for you to look at, but it only goes as far as your interest measured via the way you look around. Let's say a squid appears at the corner of your eye, and you look at it. Next to that are more squids at the corner of your eye. If you look at them, then more squids and other sealife will appear. If you look away, the squids go away. If you look at the other sea life, then you'll see more and more evidence that you're underwater. There's always a way to look at it that causes more or less of it to happen. It needs to be seamless, like there's no obvious transition between seeing one squid and seeing more.
