Does it support windows surface?

Can someone please answer this question. I have searched all over google and can't find a straight forward response.
Can i plug the Amazon fire stick into the HDMI port on my laptop and use it on the laptop like i could if it was a TV.

Finally able to get this to work on April 29th, the new Amazon Fire Stick Firmware from April 10th Firmware Number 54.1.1.0 works, but for some reason I had to apply some Windows Updates rebooted then it worked,  Also, its slow, there is a good 4 to 5 second lag, and you can forget about playing motion or movies wirelessly.  Its too slow for that.

Hey guys i tired it with Windows 8.1 on a Surface Pro2. FireTV Stick firmware 54.1.1.0.  I had no problem to connect.

Update, Miracast on Win8 still not supported after the Feb 11, 2015 Firmware/Software Updates on the device.

Looks like Amazon has admitted that Fire Stick does not do Miracast with Win8.  See the portion where the person talks to the Customer Support Rep.

Thanks.  Works awesome most of the time, but sometimes is jittery.  Is that my wifi or the fire stick?

Did it connect after that? Its not doing anything after that last screen
