In the new version I miss seeing what page I am on in the document - and how many total pages are in the document. I want to know if I am on page 6 of 13, for example. And I also don't like the line that separates the pages. I like a clear page break between pages - like the older version - when creating a multi-page document.

I am taking over client folders from someone who had them in Word in neat files with Tabs for the different types of documents for each client. You could see all the tabs on each folder. Each folder was a client. Is there any way to get this type of effect in Pages or in Google docs? I will need to add to the documents. To clarify, I want a folder with tabs as in Word. If not, what is the next best thing?

Ok, great video. I was having trouble inserting serial number into the document. I inserted a table and added the columns and everything but I cannot add serial number to the selected column. Can you please help. Thanks

great explanation MIL GRACIAS!!

can anyone explain why the font setting will change by itself to bold and a different font style when I'm writing a document? It usually happens when I'm on the 2nd page.

I enjoyed your tutorial. As a long time Mac user, I've been resistant to Pages--using Appleworks and later, purchasing Microsoft Office for Macs. I'm really familiar with the ins and outs of Word, but am now trying to get a better handle on Pages as it's the only word processing that I currently have. I am a scrapbooker who is used to manipulating text in fun ways. I have no idea how to accomplish what I want via Pages--like---drop caps or typing in a circle, journaling on top of photos, or layering text on top of each other. I would love a few tips and techniques that are a little more advanced. Thanks!

Anson,
I would love to create a chart exactly like this in my pages on my MacBook Air 2014. I want to create a document where I can put my own dates in for part b of 1, 2,3,4 columns. Of course the header would be different as well, but I like the layout of the columns and spacing. I'm just not sure how to do this with the margin values and the whatnot, as well I screwing everything up -
hi, how to open documents side by side in pages. appreciate your help

How do I sort everything in descending alphabetical order pls?

When I change the style, it changes is for the whole document, does anybody know how to stop it from doing this?
I want to be able to go from title to heading without the whole text changing to heading style. -

Thank you. You were helpful. I followed your video while I was waiting for my training schedule. I have been a Word user for years but I shifted to Pages because I found out that it is more powerful. I am planning to enrol in graduate studies in a few months. MathType is not pre-installed in OS X El Capitan?

Great quick start guide. Plus, I like the fact that you went thru it quickly - other videos are just long and drawn out = boring. Thanks!
