Thank you soooooo much for your videos! They have been so helpful! I'm inserting my very first sensor today, and this video is a huge help!

my insurance FINALLY approved my cgm after waiting for what seems like forever! I'm going to try it in my arm, as I didn't care for it in my abdomen when I did a trial run with my endo. Seems to get in the way too much when I sleep. Thanks for the tutorial

Thanks for the help and great attitude. I am a type 1 diabetic of 40 years and have seen so many changes to help me along the way. Happy holidays and stay away from the sweets.

Hello Danika, does ANTHEM BLUE CROSS Medical cover CGM?

We love your videos! My son (10) was diagnosed this summer and we just got the Dexcom yesterday. Your video took the wild fear out of the first sensor placement this morning-- Thank you! I am wondering if you have any suggestions for protecting it on his arm. Can you wear an armband over it? He is too afraid to let me do it anywhere else at this point. He has zero body fat in his abdomen, and we have trouble even doing insulin shots there. I can't find much about that because, of course, you aren't technically supposed to wear it there...

you rock :) thanks honey!
-
does this still work well if you have no fat on your arm

Just inserted my first sensor EVER with your help! It's not smooth and pretty but it's in and calibrating. :)
-
Thanks! Trying it now for the first time :)

Thanks for the awesome videos. I put my first sensor in after watching! Much better than the DVD that came with the system!

I just got mine and had to take it out after three days do to being very uncomfortable. When taking it out it left a bruse. Have you ever had problems with bruising? Also I put it in my arm.

Dexcom recommends that it is placed horizontally. Do you know if there is a reason for this and if it's important?

We are trying the arm for the first time tonight with our 10yr old who has major phobia of needles so good ol Emla to numb it first your videos help her so much

Danica, I wanted to say thank you for making this video. This is going to really help me change my daughters best friends sensor tonight. She is spending time with us and we are in a different state than her Dad so he sent your video to me for a reminder. He showed me, but this helps a lot and has given me the confidence to change it being away from him. You Rock! Thank you again!!!!!
