ASUS MAXIMUS IX APEX Review and Overclocking Tutorial for Kaby Lake 7700K / 7600K [Part 2]

Ok just got this board and a 7700k. Reinstalled windows. All stock settings in bios. When I restart the system it turns on then switches off after a second then turns back on and boots normally! Anyone any ideas what could cause this?

@der8auer is there a difference between setting up raid on "advance"and ez tuning wizard? i know u can setup raid there but why did u choose to set up raid there?

1344k FFT how is those value originated & measured ?do you need to run P95 Full test 21 hours?
some people question those, 1344k for vcore,864k for all,800k for memory etc, how do you find out those number btw?

Do any of the Uefi settings differ when setting up the 7700k at 5Ghz on the Z170 Maximus Hero Viii.

Would you recommend cache to just stay at 43 or do you push it higher if you can ? Also is there a better p95 setting for testing mainly cache stability ?

A great detailed overclock guide. Not many channels show you step by step. On my Maximus IX Formula I get a stable 5ghz on 1.33v which I am more that happy with.
I do think many of the tweaks do absolutely nothing and it is down to the silicone lottery. I tried all the tweaks above and more and I still could not get stable below 1.33v.

if I had to choose between the apex and maximus ix formula which of the two is better?

In the first part of the video, this guy made the claim that the extra dimm slot could take a card that could raid two m.2 drives, making it seem like it was hardware raid (which would be the ONLY reason why it would be special), when all it is is software raid and absolutely nothing special

Attempted this profile on a Maximus 8 Z170 with a 7700k. It is showing as a target boost of 5000mhz in BIOS but CPU-Z in Windows shows the multiplier at x44 - any ideas?

For a Maximus IX Hero board with an i7 7700k and H115i cooler (replaced stock fans with 2x ML140 Pro's), what starting core voltage would you recommend for a 5.0GHz overclock?
