OMG! After screwing around for days trying to get my many movie files to cast, Videostream is all you need! I tried all types of video format converters trying to get my video files to play in the limited Google Video app, I tried Wonderstream which wasn't so wonderful because it wouldn't connect. Thank you so much - this should be packaged with Chromecast! My only suggestion to an otherwise easy to use, no file conversion, video streamer is a more graphical menu system to help select/sort movie files.

It';s OK for a day or two, but then it starts crashing Chrome - every session.

I started using Videostream, but I got fed up with it because every 2 or 3 video streams, the app simply stops working. I have to unistall and install it again to get it working. It became a real pain so I stopped using it. Once they fix this, maybe I will consider it again, because there aren't many options out there.

What's the support like for audio codecs? Streaming videos using chrome browser has very limited codec support. Thanks.

Can you mirror or stream Show Box with this to Chtomecast? My tv says unable to play this file type at this time when I use Allcast. Was hoping Roku with plex would be an option..but plex is not in the unsupported apps bundle. I have show box running perfect on my pc via bluestacks. Any help would be great.

Videostream doesnt work on the acer chromebook c720. comes up with an error message that says turn off firewall even when firewall is not on.

Must you force even more ads down our throats? I'm fed up with people being greedy and squeezing every penny they can out of YouTube. The ads are annoying enough as it is thanks.

I like "Web video caster" for online content & LocalCast for personal content.

ehh I say take the few minutes to setup media browser or plex, its worth it.

I use Airstream to watch my media files weather it's videos, music or photo's it works and it's on my PC it's free and on Android. Then push media to allcast and it pushes it to Chromecast.
