BMW E46 3 Series - 98-06 - iPhone/iPod Cable

like the installation but would like to use i phone and cd changer. can i connect phone to right hand connector at the back of radio unit? also when connected does it act as hands free for the phone?

You can get a cable now that plugs into the other socket so you can still use the cd changer too. Nice job tho 👍

Where do u get the cable from? I noticed it looked homemade with tape.

I believe the E46 is 99 thru 05. Anyhow, I want to hook up a iPhone 5s connector. It isn't the same 30 pin connector. It's the Apple Lightning connection. Anyone know about this??

I just fitted to my 2000 330i touring and it worked a treat. You MUST keep a cd in the multichanger for it to work and you have to hit the CD button twice (on BMW business CD head unit) to access aux. Whole process took 10 minutes and sound quality is great. Many thanks.

Guys, what can you say about the quality of the sound? Does using AUX make it much worse or not really?
