1. Use it for google maps cameras to add 3D textures for the street view
2. Mapping objects in familiar spaces. Similarly to the example with finding stuff in shops, but with active monitoring. Create some sort of small stickers with trackers which you could put on anything you want (phone, remote, keys, etc.) which could be tracked actively by a device and tell you where to find things. Could be implemented in 'smart houses' where you could ask AI home assistant where to find the things you need, or on your phone. Could be set in any space you want... for example at work, you could map the rooms and save location/update it whenever there are some major changes with ease.
3. High risk situations where you need to know the space and understand how to proceed. For example when someone is stuck under destroyed building, and you need to plan how to get to him without accidentally causing harm. A small device could be mounted on some thread or drone or whatever, to navigate it through small spaces.
4. This one i thing is pretty obvious and probably worked on already - robots, to help them interact with environment.
5. Warehouses/etc. measuring the space and organizing things in the software for most efficient use, by considering the size of packages that will be kept in the wearhouse, equipment, etc. necessary walk/drive alleys. Could be especially useful for automated production lines/warehouses, for the robots which operate
6. If it works under water (if not - make it xD), could be used to map deeper parts of oceans/seas by using machines which would simply swim wherever they can.
7. Automated AI drones, which could fly in unknown spaces (if you would be able to squeeze it to small sizes - you could make automated spy drones :D for video feedback, or making the map of unknown environments, where it's too risky to send people). -
Untill computers take over the world and use all that data to destroy mankind. It's just a matter of time. Everyone with this kind of technology is contributing to our destruction. It's not a question if but when this will happen. With this pace your childrens children will suffer the consequences. Ever optimist is a poorly informed pessimist. We should ban this now while we still can, but of course there's too many naively smiling girls like that who rule and ruine the world. This is not great, this is not funny. This is down right dangerous.

#mytangoidea Orienteering, especially indoors with Tango.
Who knows in the future, there might simultaneous map making/course planning with Tango for orienteering. That'll definitely get orienteering to Olympics ;)
Love your channel, always an inspiration :) -

Maybe for a future video, something about the search engine and how it's results are programmed? My cousin Jay works in that department haha.

Great work!
Would like to see about Project Soli in the next video -
Can you make a video on Google's Psychologist? Or like, profesionals you would not expect to be working as Googlers?

I see nothing but a child-robot, just beginning to see, lets see her grow up and help us in our daily life.

Thanks to Tango, games like treasure hunt and detective can be really interesting games for kids.

Couldn't AI calculate the back part of the things the sensors don't see from all the data gathered with them? I think that needs even more CPU power than tango needs today, but hey, maybe backpack-PCs get modern some day... :)
