Too funny. Poor Democrats. Every Obama apologist with half a brain (yes, both of them) curse John Roberts every night before bed. 2014 is going to be a hilarious year. These delusional Obama bootlickers are sounding more and more like Baghdad Bob each day!!! :)
-
They can't repeal something if it has gone into effect. That is like telling a teacher that giving ice cream to kids is wrong and the teacher has already given out ice creams and they try to take the ice cream back from the kids that got it.
-
And they'll do it again.
-
They did the same thing with the Stimulus Package Obama signed into law. The criticized it as a failure but reaped the benefits by bringing the goodies to their districts.
-
The real question is why are they exempt from it? So many who voted for it, exempted themselves from it.
-
I got a ? why didn't they want a government option if they knew it would fail? They wanted a mandate because they thought it could fail...
-
Ahh...egg on the face of Republicans, love it!

Just think about the uninsured if "ObamaCare" did not make it! The number could of been 313 million on them. The big nubmer was the 160 milion working class people like me that would of said, why have insurance I can't afford to use it. I was going to do that if Mitt make it! Sure the 313 million is the max number, but it only takes 100 million to drive up the cost to no use! Some one has to pay for the uninsured & it won't be the rich guys the cost gets passed on to the poor!

The quality of healthcare will drop when the government pays for all of it. Then the cost increases cause the money is coming from the "government" and who cares about screwing over the gov. Thats why we have so much debt. The government over pays for everything and the money comes from the tax payers. Its a bad scenario to consider. Everyone hates America til they need something. I don't hate Canada, you just do things different and I respect that. I'm not saying you need to change.
-
Its not an explicit right written in the constitution, but its a right that should be implied. If someone is sick, or injured you help them. Its about doing the right thing. Also, the US does not need to maintain a "superior" military. Maybe if this country changes its foreign policy, spending 600 billion a year wouldn't be necessary. I am Canadian living in the US, I fucking hate this country. I'm glad to be moving back!
-
I agree that the defense budget does need be cut back but I believe 2/3 is a bit much. We still have to maintain a superior military but that is another topic. Let the companies build it and if it works we can buy. Again my question is what makes healthcare a right. The reason we have the best medical doctors is because they are privatly funded not government funded. Gov doctors suck. I've been through that type of health care with the army. You get no second opinion at all.
-
Its all about budget prioritization. The Pentagon has an annual budget of 600 billion dollars, why not cut that by 2/3 and use that money to provide universal tax funded healthcare. No country needs to seriously spend 600 billion a year on defense. It is excessive and that money could be used on healthcare and education.
-
Why is the answer to raise taxes? I do agree with the tort reform but having the government pay for it will increase the cost even more. Health spending will then catch up towards defense spending. So how much will taxes go up? What next people going to have a right to transportation? Raise taxes again for that. We are taxed too much and people need to take individual responsibility. I pay $35 a month on a medical balance I owe and don't complain, it shouldn't be provided by gov or free.
-
You lower the costs by creating a single payer system. Raise taxes to pay for it, completely dismantle the insurance companies and the problem will take care of itself. American healthcare is overly expensive due specifically to the rising costs of administration and excessive torts. We also need tort reform in this country. Make it more difficult to sue doctors and they won't have to raise their fees to offset malpractice insurance costs. It all goes a long way.
-
The government is not this great power that hands things to its lucky population. The government is suppose to be of the people. Like a town getting together and contributing money to fix a bridge they feel needs repaired. The government was never suppose to be all powerful as it is now. Thats the problem. People buying insurance is why health care is so expensive. If local doctors were paid by their patients the cost would be soo much lower. Government envolment will increase prices.
-
Health insurance starter, I believe, in the 1850s. Before that there was a town doctor who was paid for his services by the patient. We have interpreted insurance a must have. By this happening health costs keep rising. Who cares how much its gonna cost if the insurance will cover it. Thats the problem and universal health insurance makes the problem worse. Where is the money going to come from? Someone has to pay for it!! Some doctors are lowering their cost by not accepting insurance.
-
You are comparing universal healthcare coverage with car insurance. Are you even human? The incentive to do well as a physician is the outcome of a healthy patient. I'm from Canada living in the United States. I can tell you, your system sucks. I know for a fact there are people who make too much to qualify for medicare but not enough to pay out of pocket. Most of who are uninsured. Do you think that is fair?
