Vise grip markd on the middle of strut shaft -> instantly destroyed shaft seal.
I'm confused; why buy a height-adjustable coilover conversion if you're just going to toss the adjustable perches, if you're not using them anyway why not just get short ass lowering springs and cut them if you want to go even lower. I guess one benefit is the smaller springs can't really pop off the perches if they are loose at full extension, and they're probably as cheap or cheaper anyway. -
One of their cars will fly apart on the freeway and kill somebody that should be the end of this shite channel.

I always feel the urge to laugh a bit when I see people take their struts out and remove the camber plate without spring compressors. It's asking for blood.
When I'm messing with something like that, I use the weight of the car to hold the spring down while I take the nut off with the camber plate in place, then jack the car up to relieve the spring tension.
Even if the spring doesn't end up completely released at full droop, it's a hell of a lot less pressure than what you're dealing with here and you at least have some containment for the spring.
Also, vice grips on the strut shaft that passes through the seal? Brilliant.
