Getting Started with Mendeley

Dear Mendeley, just started on using this program and enjoyed it so far. One question though, when I found a list of 179 references on pubmed and imported into Mendeley, I could not download about half of the references (I did select "ALL" option). Please explain why and a way to fix this issue. Thanks!

It is really fast and easy to use. In my opinion, somehow, better that Endnote.

So my university had courses on EndNote. I attended not even knowing before that what a reference manager was. Was quite interesting. Then I went to their website to download the program and I'm shocked to see a price of 300 USD while I'm just a student with little income and a single thesis to write. Gladly I found Mendeley, which even seems better given the javascript bookmarklet plus online service integration.

Now it just sucks for me that I use mostly linux and LibreOffice is quite terrible :p so I have to switch to windows meanwhile. But at least, I can easily manage my reference library for whichever operating system and web browser.

Unfortunately the MS Word plugin does not seem to work. It is definitely installed but it does not appear on my Mendeley word docs menu bar...meaning I cannot use citation and generate bibliographic lists!! Any idea why?

Mendeley jusy fucked up my 3 months work.

This software is a piece of shit. Total useless in fact it will destroy your project. I have wasted two weeks osrting my liberary on this shit and at the end it ha all come to nothing.

How can Mendeley help me when I only have the hard copy copy book? Is there a way for Mendeley to find the information on-line and extract the informtion to create an entry to the software or will the user simply have to enter the hard copy of the book on their own? Thanks

Can this be integrated with Evernote, and can you "Send To Kindle"? I read documents on my Paperwhite, and organize with Evernote. This would be a nice addition that is specifically for research.

Hi there, I wonder if you could help me with a search problem, I am unable to search for any document in the search box, on Mendely desktop. After narrowing down to "title" , " author" , "year" or whatsoever, the message I receive is " unable to search for " publication" in all documents" How can I fix it?
