Surprisingly GoPro have also released an App for the Android which seems to have better performance than the iOS App, buggy but still faster refresh rate. you can just get an lcd camera that connects to the back in the big slot i have one and no lag, also it is touchscreen!

Does anyone know if this is a direct wifi link or not? Do you have to be in a wifi area for this to work or does the camera link directly to the phone (and vice versa) without being in a hotspot?
