The lightsaber can't deflect spells such as expelliarmus since the spell isn't a laser or anything. The spell expelliarmus could have just disarmed the jedi and than the avada kedavra could finish the job.

First of light sabers can't block magic but magic can beat a light saber Harry would have won if they put Harry Potter logic into it . And before you say light sabers are one of the beat weapons ever you need countercurses to defend spells not laser swords . And I'm not saying I hate Star Wars it's just it's not fair on the Harry Potter universe . Like they used the force shouldn't Harry be able to use Avada kedrava
