For the Derby, mining tasks are an awesome way of getting points, as they are quick and easy to do. The Mine is a Production Building unlocked at Level 24, along with five Smelters. Unlike other buildings, the mine cannot be mastered (since it produces instantaneously). It takes 1 day and 11 hours (or 71 diamonds) to repair it. The mine will allow a player access to metal ore and bars. Shovels, sticks of dynamite, pickaxes, and TNT barrels can be used to mine silver ore, gold ore, platinum ore, iron ore, coal, and occasionally diamonds. The pickaxe mines five items, the shovel mines four, the TNT barrel mines three, and the stick of dynamite mines two. However sometimes with a stick of dynamite you can get 3 items if a diamond is placed among two other ores. To use these items, tap on the mine and drag the item onto it. Ores are needed to make bars in the smelter. The player can complete some truck orders if they have enough bars for them. Bars are also needed to make jewelry in the Jeweler once it has been unlocked.
