Bill explains the essential principles of a lead-acid battery. He shows the inside of motorcycle lead-acid battery, removes the lead and lead-oxide plates and shows how they generate a 2 volt potential difference when placed in sulfuric acid. He explains how the build up of lead sulfate between the plates will make the battery unusable if it discharged completely, which leads him to a description of how to make a deep cycle battery used for collecting solar energy. it would be insteresting to see a deep overview of all the batteries listed.

this the best channel on youtube. period.

I never knew about the two types: Energy and Power. Learn something new everyday. Keep up the good work :)

Well done thanks
-
i hate it.
-
Very helpful, concise and precise, thank you Sir
-
great explanation
-
besides that u explain very well, i think, you explain too fast with less graphics usage.

at 3:55 I don't understanding why we do that three things, the battery gives off a lower current

The text bar is distracting and you cant read it, a yellow bar with yellow text, who can read that anyway?

It is one am on a Friday and I am eating pizza and watching this. Now wonder I don't have a girlfriend

From the above explanation, it seems as though lead batteries could be reused if they were made to be opened so the user could wipe the plates off periodically.

1:32 Isn't sulphuric acid H2SO4? I saw HSO4 there. Please clarify.

Damn... i admit... That black background with blue table or stool with red shirt makes perfect combination... We can focus entirely on the subject at hand.... I wish you continue to make videos like these... Have you considered making on an audio cassettes or jet engines...?

There are some theories about breaking the lead sulfate layer on a "dead" battery with a high voltage, low amperage charge, typically 160 percent of its normal operating voltage.
I have been hesitant to try this to say the least. Perhaps if I am stranded somewhere and i was dependent on that battery working. -
0:53 that was quick

Thanks for showing me once and for all what is inside my car battery. :-)
