That's awesome.
-
what if a very loud sound
for example +120 dB was "brought" to silence with an out of phase frequency?
would it hurt without hearing anything ? -
Really cool tech, thanks May!
-
i cant go on buses because of the vibration of the engine and windows, will noise cancelling work?
-
is there an app that can do it in a smartphone using the headphone microphone?
-
By searching this I did not expect to find an image of the same headphones that I am currently wearing.
-
one thing I've always wondered: does this mean that noise cancelling headphones reduce air pressure in your ears and protect your hearing, or does it mean that they increase the air pressure and hurt your hearing?
-
And my high school phyisics teacher told me that i was wrong when I came up with this theroy, you sir just prooved that not only was i right but in the late 90s when i thought of it the tech had allready been around for over 25 years prooving im not stupid and i DO understand Phisics. Head Squeeze is a very appropriate name for this series.

A question: if I use active noise cancelling headphones, like the Bose
QuietComfort series, are they using destructive interference, and if so,
is that protecting my ear drums from things like airplane engines? Or
is this effect just "tricking" me so I don't "hear" the background
noise but the damaging waves are still getting to my eardrums? -
DID JAMES MAY JUST SAY "CAR"
