That’s 10,000 times more power than the planet’s population uses. So is it possible that one day the world could be completely reliant on solar energy? Richard Komp examines how solar panels convert solar energy to electrical energy. Lesson by Richard Komp, animation by Globizco.

Think of jobs we could make with this. :)

This is what Elon Musk is trying to do.

The ME and Africa would still not be safe from the greedy foreign powers even after the oil runs out, they still have plenty of sun to steal ;0{

Is the N/P Junction charge illustrated incorrectly? Electrons from N type goes across boundary to P time, resulting in a positive charge in the N type after the junction has been formed.

Our teacher showed this video to us today in the class.

A lightening during thunder storms has millions of current in them. If a way to store that energy by charging batteries in a fraction of a second, can be developed, that would be a new way for areas without much sunlight like Finland or Seattle, to get free energy

most developing countries, are sunlight rich. When solar panels become mainstream, these countries will be economic powerhouses.

Why does anyone even fucking care about the efficiency of solar cells? there is no fuel burnt or anything so why does it matter what percentage of the light falling onto the cell is converted into energy at all?Why don't people just look at the absolute power output?
I can understand that with fossile fuel you want to have maximum efficiency because the resource used is limited but light is falling onto the earth anyway ... -
Is there any way to harnest energy from cosmic rays like the northern lights to be used or is it impossible? How is one able to do it if it is possible?

How do the electrons come back? Sorry if I'm dumb.
