I get so tired of hearing people say "go to your doctor", I don't trust doctors anymore! I have a mind of my own, it's my body, I don't need to check with the doctor before I take anything. I have a low thyroid and just recently began take iodine for it. When I discovered it was my thyroid making me ill, I bought kelp tablets and liquid kelp. Did some research and discovered that the minimum requirement for iodine in the United States is ridiculously low. And then let's think about how obsurd it is that it's in SALT, the substance that is so good for you, DUH. I don't trust doctors but I do trust myself. Only weeks ago my temperature was almost 3° below normal, it took a few weeks on kelp/iodine but I now have my temp brought up by 1° and still working on it. Until I find a fantastic doctor, I'm on my own. Doctors are poorly trained, they must come up with a diagnosis and usually delve out drugs which cause more symptoms. That's not medicine, that's deception!!!

Hypo is a drag on daily life.

I have a low thyroid :/ it's not just me saying I do, I had a blood test.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 3 years ago. the medication has helped so much. please go and ask your doctor about it.

I know one thing, my thyroid definitely needs some of that iodine 127. The importance of sufficient iodine levels and how they greatly affect the thyroid gland, that should be included.

Is it possible o give yourself hyperthyroidism?

I have high metabolism and it's hard to live with, I'm a bodybuilder but I could never get a huge frame, all I get is more muscle definition

its one of the things doctors never even think about. The symptoms are often ignored or blamed on other stuff like " not physically active enough" , "common anxiety", "eating too much/few"
