Hey John, thanks for the awesome tips!
Just a quick question, I've notice that LinkedIn changed the way we upload videos in the summary section. I am getting a "Read Original" button on the popup window and would like to play the video within the window instead like your example above.
Can you help? Thanks -

Thanks for the tips. I got 200 linked in views but they don't show up in the You tube counter. Why not?

Great tips. Thanks for sharing.
About the youtube 'card' feature. Will this only work on my own youtube channel or on any public youtube site adding my own 'card' linked to my website? -
Dear John, thank you for your post. I find however that with the link you propose, I cannot disable the 'related videos''. Is there something I can do to and have an embedded video but without the related videos?
Thank you! -
Thanks John for your good work. I really appreciate your insights. Per your request, this is how my LinkIn update looks with its YouTube posts from my company's channel "60 for 40": https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/activities/dr-mark-edge+0_0qxTIzyYMD_19sxT4lw9CS?trk=nav_responsive_sub_nav_yourupdates

Hi, great video. Instead of using the embed code, I copied and pasted the link and it worked. However, when people watch the video it doesn't seem to show up as a view on YouTube. If I do on Facebook, it does. How can I get the views to count on YouTube using Linkedin? If I embed instead of using a link, will ti work?

Hi dear
Thank you so much!!! -
Recently, I've had no trouble uploading videos to my LI page (it's taken LInkedin literally years to make this reasonably easy, so well done! at last).
Alas! the same cannot be said for videos and the LI app, despite my reading LI's claim that it is possible to display videos via the app.
I have searched and searched for videos being displayed via the app, without success. Answer me this, Mr. Nemo, can the app actually display video? If so, please forward a URL of an LI page where a video can be viewed via iPad. If the app can't display video, why on earth not? Isn't not enabling video in the app just about the most crass error imaginable, considering your claims of how valuable a video presence is?
Is this just another example of Linkedin's talent for lagging behind?
There are now in excess of 19m mobile device users on the web - and rising rapidly - compared with just over 17m desktop users. So way more mobile than static browsers, get it? (Source: Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers).
As you said, "If you want to generate more sales leads, or land a dream job using Linkedin, you MUST add video to your posts." Great, if you're in the minority, still using a clunky old desktop....when IS Linkedin, if ever, going to catch up?
If it IS me that's wrong, or somehow missing something, then I apologise, of course - and wait with expectant excitement for your next video, detailing how to get video on the LI app. -
Is this possible for companies (updates) or only for individuals?
-
Thank you! Very helpful for both a question - and a project I had put off (cards). I appreciate it! :)

Hi John, Great video! my question is that i added the video but the video did not show up in my stream on linkedin. Only the link showed up, do I need a premium account to have the video show where it has the thumbnail image of the video right in the stream on linkedin?
-
That was brilliant, JN - just done my first videos and was struggling to post to LinkedIn then I get the 'Card' bonus - top stuff. Thank you very much indeed. KP

Thank you very much for your video. I know how to add the Youtube video to the linkedin post now.
