How to setup Netflix on Sony Blu-ray player

I am viewing some motion pictures every evening because of this

i have a question hope you could answer i got a SONY BDP-S1700 do you need the Ethernet cable to use netflix and etc?

This helps me alot. I have a Samsung tv coming soon and I was told to return it and get a "Smart TV"....I didn't want to but thought this would be the only way for me to watch Netflix on my new tv....good to know don't have to return my tv. Thanks for uploading!

how do I register my device

Trying to hook up Netflix to play on my BluRay. I set up the WIFI and it's connected to my router but when i try to access any of the video options it says "The service cannot be accessed at this time because the server replied with incorrect or invalid information".

The blue ray player is on my TV. Now I have my Mac Book pro hook up to the computer with adapter. I still can't find Netflix..will you help? PLEASE?
