How To Unblock Web Camera In Windows 8

all it says for me is there is a problem with camera

i have a windows 8.1 when i open the camera it show:to get started,connect a camer a download the camera software and still doesn't work whhhhhhhhhy

Hello sir, By mistake i block my web camera. and now i want to open. But its not opening.My OS is window 8.1 and when i am opening then one black screen is coming and nothing is showing. My camera works on cyberlink webcam application but doesnot work on the win 8 default camera app. I tried the thing of the video and turned it on but it still doesnot work and also before I turned it on there wasn't written to turn on the permission in the app, there was just written connect a camera. I would be happy if you help. Thanks.........

Hi, am using an HP model 6550b. i recently upgraded to win 8.1 and the camera isnt working. when i click the cam icon, am being asked to either connect a camera to get started, or the screen is just dark. i do hear snapshot sounds when i click the snap option. Please can you help? am getting frustrated.
