Just got a g2 and a s4...s4 receives images from g2 just fine, but when g2 tries to receive files from s4, it opens Google play and says item not found. Everything is turned on, so what's going on?

That's regular android be which is limited. If you have S Beam on Galaxy s 111 or Note 2 and beyond.. you can send almost anything. It takes advantage of WIFI while Android Beam on older phones or non Samsung phone's uses bluetooth which is slower.

You can transfer all kinds of data between two S3 while some other devices are limited. For example it's not possible to exchange media between an Xperia S and an S3. Very disappointing but the overall feature is great though.
