How well does WipEout 2048 play on PS TV?
wie Sie tun, machen, Film, Beispiel
Normally the PlayStation TV doesn't allow you to play WipEout 2048 along with dozens of other PlayStation Vita games. But thanks to a small hack you can actually play a huge number of games that aren't supported by the device. WipEout 2048 is actually one of the best playable games that aren't officially supported by the PS TV. You have to use touch controls in the menus but during core gameplay the controller is perfect. I recommend binding R2 and L2 as R and L buttons since R2 is much better for racing games. WipEout 2048 is probably the last WipEout game ever to be released since Sony has shut down Studio Liverpool and therefore I recommend that you pick the game up, it's fantastic! Had Sony not shut down Studio Liverpool, I'm sure the latter would have eventually ported WipEout 2048 to the PS3/PS4. How regrettable... =(
-
It most likely will never get PSTV support because Sony Liverpool is gone.
-
ive done this on may ps tv its on firmware 3.52 if i put my vita memory card witch is on 3.55 will the pstv update to 3.55?

Why don't they make a PlayStation tv version? Is it that hard to turn off the touch pad and let the co trolled take over? It's like when Microsoft said they can't turn the DRM off on the Xbox one (well they said it wasn't easy actually) but low and behold they got rid of the DRM. I doubt it will take months of intense programming to do this.

Hey Blue Bomber, is this a PAL or NTSC Vita TV you're running?
-
Goddamn, I'm definitely going to have to get a PS Vita TV now. This looks awesome on a big screen!
-
Please keep these coming! I just sold my ps4 unfortunately and I'm stuck with the PS TV... and a wii... I've been trying to figure out which games I should pick up for cheap. Thinking about picking this up. Loved the old ones!

What Firmware Update do you need for this? I think I'm on the latest update on my PSTV.

Step by step instructions:
1) Download thunderbird
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/
Outlook will corrupt the data
2) Open writer.eml with Thunderbird
3) Go to Message -> Edit as new Message (Ctrl + E)
4) Enter your email and send to device
5) On the VitaTV, open the email and click the image/attachment
6) You will get an error message, do not click anything
7) Press the PS/Home button, close the email program (so the page-ripping animation plays completely)
8) Re-open the email program
You will know that the previous steps have worked if you have to re-setup your email account
9) From your computer, rename the vita list_launch_vita.dat file to just "#0" (no quotes, no extension)
10) Attach it to an email to yourself with the subject "ur0:game/launch/list_launch_vita.dat" (no quotes)
11) Open the email on the VitaTV
12) Click the image/attachment
13) You will get an error message, do not click anything
14) Press the PS/Home button (close the email program if you want)
15) Go into settings, network, uncheck "Connect to the internet"
Now you can open a game. -
When I click the image on the writer.eml stage it says its not a supported filetype. Has this been patched out by sony?
-
Oh wow! I may have to get a PSTV some day...

Nice video. The beginning is redundant though, as there is no battery indicator so it is obvious this is on ps tv
