Hi guys, the above method did not work for me. I had changed my carrier (from Koodo to Fido) and was having the same issue of Mobile data Disconnected. After research I found that I have to configure the APN for the new carrier in my HTC device. Once I entered the carrier specific APN details, BINGO Mobile Data got CONNECTED. Attached is the link where I found my new carrier specific information (look for Android). Similarly find out yours. http://www.fido.ca/consumer/content/configure-unlocked-device-guide

Another fix the phone company told me to do that might help someone. make sure you turn your phone off completely. take out your sims card for a few minutes. Put the sims card back in and then turn on your phone. Tech said sometimes the sims card needs reinitialized what ever that means.
