I'm only 12, but I think old technology is so cool. Without it, there would be no iPhones, iPads, laptops, or anything like that. All of these things like cassette tapes started all of this. I think more people need to appreciate things like this. I'm not hating, I'm just saying people need to appreciate this.

I bet they didnt know about the batteries..and how we used to hammer it just to revive a few minutes of cassete playing..try it with your smartphone batteries..

In all fairness, it has been 20 years or so since I have used one so it would take me a minute to figure it out too.
This is all a act. There is no way they can't figure out how to turn one on. I handed my old cassette player to my cousin who is 9 and he figured it out right away. Everyone knows what the play symbol means.

Ok I was born in 2004, this is a list of all the things I knew
Commodore 64: I knew at 6 years old
Gameboy: when I was 5
VCR: when I was 2
Walkmans: when I was 7
Typewriter: when I was 6
So stop complaining about kids these days, every generation gets more modern and you need to learn to accept that instead of being tantrum throwing immature little babies and crying about it. Sometime in life is gonna be different and its not our fault. Half these kids are more mature than you 20 year old children.

A part of me just died
i use to have a walkman when i was a kid but then i dropped it and after that it kept eating the film on my cassettes. and my mom would not get me a new one cuz i think they stopped making them by that point and portable cd players were expensive...eventually i got one though, and i got to say portable cd players skipped so much its ridicules
I recored the walkman player using the AM and FM radio. When using the Radio stations, like Rádio Globo Rio de Janerio 1220 Khz and get to play Flamengo FC
Please someone explain them that there was a time that we had to rewind cassetes to play videogames :)
We've come full circle. The kids off today can't handle the technology of the past, and the elders of today can't handle today's current technology.
"An iPad costs $700"... Guess he isn't familiar with the concept of inflation. $200 in the 80s adjusted for inflation is about $600.
