After listening to this again, I have to say. Musically Metallica 100 percent. Mix/production F.
Doesn't even sound like the band is in the same room. Sounds programmed. Snare and kick lead, vocals behind that, guitars just don't have the grit and power.
Bass. My name is mud.
The songs are there. The mix isn't. Doesn't have the power. Its thin and doesn't have the bottom power.
Very close to Justice, just not that bad.

This is the problem when producers and mixers tell you to mix for iphone. You compromise when you don't have to.
Black was mixed before iphone or mp3. Still sounds better. So does everything 80's.
The mentality that we have to downmix for crap is wrong. Mix for the best and it will work on the worst.

That snare is right out of Justice Just better

If you like real thrash metal, you could go check the album "Planetary Destruction" by Stygian - criminally underrated, holds the level of Master of Puppets/Rust In Piece.
