My year of saying yes to everything | Shonda Rhimes
wie Sie tun, machen, Film, Beispiel
Shonda Rhimes, the titan behind Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder, is responsible for some 70 hours of television per season, and she loves to work. "When I am hard at work, when I am deep in it, there is no other feeling," she says. She has a name for this feeling: The hum. The hum is a drug, the hum is music, the hum is God's whisper in her ear. But what happens when it stops? Is she anything besides the hum? In this moving talk, join Rhimes on a journey through her "year of yes" and find out how she got her hum back. Interestingly, I learnt in our 'Personal and Professional Development' lecture where we examine psychology, that this "hum state" as you describe is actually given a name in psychology. This is is called the 'flow state'. There is a diagram which accurately visually represents this swell in the form of a graph, encompassing these negative and positive emotions as well as the build up and steps beforehand in order to effectively lead up to this flow state. This is because, as you can imagine, this is often desirable for achieving high creativity and productivity.

I literally just hear Meredith Grey the entire time

She said it so much that Hum has lost all meaning

That felt poetic.

how can i like this video? you look drained, how can you say you're a different person? my head is spinning from the endless loop about titan, 70 million viewers, etc. 15 minutes without a phone? ppl think i'm nust cause i don't have a smart phone and in fact my cell phone is almost always off cause i'm not allowed even to have it muted at work. dream job? stop dreaming! reality is, once again, you're drained. your ausopen tweet brought me here. nice way to advertize yourself!
