What's the difference between Nut 2 and Nut 3? How long is the battery?

Would this work as a child locator (like on the dog)
My sister is handicapped and i have given her many watches and necklaces that are for children and she loses it easily or is uncomfortable for her to wear. This looks easy to put/sewn into her pocket.
What is the range of this device? -
1 year battery life??? Has anyone gotten theirs to last over 1 month?

Thanks Michael
I now realise, having carried out some tests that the map relates only to the location of my phone and that it, in turn indicates the position by 'range finding' display of any Nut Mini paired to the phone. Thanks for the advice re: http://www.jundetech.cn/ -
I received 2 of these devices from China today and decided to initially familiarise myself with setting up and testing out just one of them first of all. I found the process of downloading the app and pairing to my iPhone quite straight forward. My location and proximity to my device (attached to my car keys) appeared to work well and I have yet to test it at greater distances from my home. My geographical location in the UK appeared on a Google map on my phone and think that this aspect also needs to be trialed more extensively for me to have greater confidence in its accuracy. Certainly I successfully was able to activate the 'bleep' sound to help me to locate the device when placed out of sight in another room and the range finder graphics display was helpful. As the webpage 'www.nutspace.com' is currently only available in Chinese language I'd urgently recommend it to be translated for non Chinese users. Clearly the App has been targeted at Chinese market, but I it think should be widened if the developers want to attract increased international users. I was able to verify my device by using Email, as opposed to my phone for verification, a feature currently only available to Chinese homeland. I'll be giving future updates on the use of this clever device, that so far looks very promising and congratulate the developers for creating such a wonderful deice.
