Nice review. I did a lot of research on blenders and really wanted a Vitamix after watching and reading everything. I ended up buying a Jamba Quiet Blender instead as I felt it was the best value for the price and quieter than anything else out there. Not only that but its one of the easiest machines to use (1 speed dial) and clean (just add water and detergent and blend for 30 seconds and your done). Metal gears and a 5 year limited warranty doesn't hurt either.

You can buy a brand new nutribullet 1700 rx for around $100. Just sort price + shipping lowest first on the buy it now. That's what I did, and I don't use my 900 anymore. They make great gifts too :)

Have you ever tried to make banana ice cream in the Rx? The 900 makes it perfect. Considering the Rx but want to make sure I can still make ice cream. Perhaps use less water? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Just bought an Rx a few days ago and it arrived yesterday. The Rx (newest revision) comes with an on/off button on the side so that you don't have to pull off the cup to stop the blades early, putting your Rx at risk for grinding the gears and ruining the motor.
