Path of Exile: How to Set Up a Loot Filter (Installation Guide)

hey the filter works but the items pop up does not stay what do I do

I am not finding the text to copy and paste for the script source.

ok this for windows 10 or other.
1.search windows type''Control Panel''
2.find and click ""File explorer options""
3.Click on ""View""
4.scroll down and you will find""hide extensions for known file types"" and simply uncheck the box.
5.click apply and ok

**IF YOU'RE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS READ THIS!!**
This is for Windows 10, but should work the same regardless.
1. Go to start menu
2. Search Folder Options or File Explorer Options.
3. Click 'View' Tab
4.Under 'Advanced Settings' Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'
5.Go to 'Documents' > 'My Games' > 'Path of Exile'
6.Right click and create a new 'Text Document'.
5. Name document whatever you like, pref 'ZiggyDLootFilter'.
6. Right click the .txt document you've just created and go to 'Properties'
7. Up top where the file name is, rename the end from '.txt' to '.filter'
8. Go to ZiggyD's link below the video and download 'ZiggyD's Loot Finder' document.
9. Go into said document/ or open with notepad and press 'Ctrl-A'.
10. Go into the new '.filter' document you've just created with notepad and press 'Ctrl-V'
11. By now you should have copy and pasted ZiggyD's Loot Finder' Document into the new '.filter' you created. Press Ctrl-S to save.
12. Start up Path of Exile, Go into options, UI, Scroll down and now you should have 'List of Item Filters' click the tab, Select your folder and Load.
13. Your Welcome! :)

I've downloaded and put the text from pastebin into a text document. When I go into the game, I don't see the "loot filter" in the game. help plz. thnx fam

what if i cant even change my txt for .filter ?

It wont show in game even though it says "Type of file (.Filter)" in properties and it is saved in "computer>local disk>Users>Me>My Documents>My Games>Path of Exile". Anyone have helpful advise or am I missing something.

for Windows 10 users: when you go to Documents > My Games > Path of Exile go to "View" on the top of your window and click on it. scroll to the right and check the box "File name extention"

you will now be able to change the extention from .txt to .filter

For some reason my OS won't allow me to change the .txt to .filter on my doc, I've tried every possible way to do it and it just won't change. are there any other options to get the filter into the game so it shows up on the UI options page?
