For all of you who are looking for advice on chaining, there is a user on YouTube named Shukochan. She has an excellent video explaining the processes of chaining, so go there and see if she can answer your questions because she definitely answered many of mine! Here is the third of three parts to a long video process. Here, I will show you how I chain to get a shiny Pokemon; in this case, Snubbull. My very first shiny I ever saw was a Weavile. (Or a sneasel, because I'm not sure if you can find wild Weaviles) and it was that AWESOME hot pink and yellow color. I was so excited! Checked if I had any poke balls. Nope. Fuck you Woka.

i have used like 100 max repels and spent hours after i hit 40 pokemon in my chain D: when will a shiny patch come?? :'( how long did it take you?

NEVER walk up during this, you might not have seen the grass patch above you. this is how I lost my shiny snover when I saw the gleaming patch D:

Man, right now, i've chained 40 snovers, and resetted so many times the radar, but no shiny!!! Maybe the snow is making some optical illusion XD

I chain everyday before and after school, and my rate of success increases each time. But I notice that it's easier to see grass shake in Platinum than it is to see in D/P. I can't chain in D/P.

I'm horrible at chaining. It always breaks at 4 to 6. I have two shinies, Mamoswine (originally Swinub) on SoulSilver, and Unfezant (originally Pidove) on White 2.

Also try to avoid, edges and corners when you do so... And the best pretty much guaranteed way to get a shiny, is when you use the pokeradar 4 steps in any direction is best, for example if your in the middle and you use it, 4 steps up,down,left,right, are good, even better if its (4x4) (4x3) (4x2) (4x1) and what i mean by that is 4 steps any direction then 4,3,2 or 1 step to the left right up or down. And Patience is needed alot. but the reward is just amazing.

well, when you chain there will be patches of grass that look normal, then their is ones that have these weird white leaves over them ( and they have less shake time). IF you go into one of those your chain will end... Always try to start your chain in the middle of the grass, and only go into a patch of grass if their are 4 or more shaking at once. Usually the farther away normal patches are the best.
