So happy I finally found somebody that has almost the same setup as me thanks alot man I was beginning to think my headset was broken so I just used the stereo for longest time. But now I know that the 7.1 is for games and stereo is for music! Rock on! Thanks man!

i have a problem with these when people come right sound come left
and when someone is on the other site of the mat in the front of me they are inside the wall -
I FIGURED OUT HOW TO MAKE THESE SOUND AMAAAAAZING with DX 7.1 CAAAARD (Might work just as well with others too:):)
First off all, DO NOT use headphone settings in DX soundpanel with Tiamat 7.1! Use 7.1 speakers instead!
Second, DO NOT use higher sound sampling settings than 96khz (I think)! Enabling 192 khz makes a annoying noise in dialogues that ruins the sound experience!
Third, use 8 "Channels". Enabling less makes horrible sound.
IF you have problems with sound in CSGO put your sound settings to 5.1 which is the max :( But it sounds so much better than stereo.
Do not customize the EQ settings if you are a noob like me !
Hope this help! -
Thanks for help ! :)

Hey anyone and everyone! READ THIS BEFORE BUYING THIS HEADSET!
I bought this headset, and when i got it i was super happy. The sound sucked so i looked up why it sucked and i found this video. I went ahead and bought the XONAR DX pci card and installed it in my computer. Everything went to plan and the head set sounded great, but i have several major problems that i want to address with this headset. Number one: Not that comfortable. It was a great feeling when i put it on the first time, but after about 5 hours of strait gameplay it started to hurt my ears and head.. Number 2: It took me about an hour to fully calibrate this headset using the software provided in the description and using the razer software, but there was still something off. It might have just been me but on my left ear everything was louder, bass the game, music, everything. I adjusted the settings as much as i could but it was still off just a tab bit. It didnt bother me the more i used it. Number 3: This headset is not that practical. For watching youtube videos constantly this headset made every video sound weird. I know there is a button to turn the 7.1 off but it is a pain to do over and over again switching from game to youtube videos. Also all the hardware required for this headset, you might as well just go with something wayyyyy simpler, like beats. I put too much work and money for OK results. The first time in game i thought this headset was amazing but after 5 hours it just gave me a headace. I hope this helps if your thinking of buying this head set, and i say dont. Great sound but just such a pain this the asshole to deal with. I reccomend the razer 7.1 kraken headphones. those are fantastic and very comfortable for long use -
bass seems to be cranked up pretty high. the subwoofer has a very low impedance 16ohms, better pull back a little (by 2 or three notches on the eq)on the bass b4 it kills the subwoofer. reducing bass (left side of the eq) will help u find footsteps.

cheers mate. made new cans sound heaps better.

I get this weird tiny echo in-game, as if the sound was coming from a pipe, tested with several games, tried fiddling around with the headset/soundcard settings, but nothing helps...
-
only problem with the mic is my voice turn in to a female voice
-
Thanks dude!!
-
you should have it on 8 channels for gaming.

Thank you for this video.
After playing with the software a bit there was something i changed and i liked the sound more, on the effects page on the 'environment' you have a thing that says 'generic' i've changed that to the option bellow, translated it will give something like 'padded cell' maybe you'd like to try it out.
I don't play many fps games so i have not yet found a good setting combination to improve footsteps sry -
Hi there, I really need your help, I recently bought this Tiamat 7.1, but they sound terrible, I conected them to my integrated sound card is a realtek ALC898 (the newest chipset from realtek), and it does 7.1, everithing works ok, games sounds in 7.1, and all ok, but the sound quality is terrible, so can you tellme if will this XONAR XD really improbe the audio quality over my integrated sound card? thanx and sorry because of my bad english.
-
much appreciated. I bought the same soundcard for this headset so your guide was just what I was looking for.
-
just... Thank you!
-
great video! I don´t think you can hear the foot steps in battlefield 4 only hear them screaming.
-
just bought the same headset and card

your mids are the foot steps unfortunately the louder the foot step the louder the guns fire and so on.
