im from the Netherlands a small country in Europe and we have big Gov. so i dont get why Americans wants a smaller Gov. America is 230 times bigger the Netherlands. It takes my Gov. 5 days to make a passport in America is 4 to 6 weeks and you people want a smaller Gov.?

To add, the ACA is not what the dems wanted. They do want a single payer system, and THIS is a compromise. If all of the republicans as a whole, did not want the ACA, they should have never had it passed. But some of them obviously went along with it. I am not happy with it myself. I think it could have been done better, or not done at all. I just don't expect much from our government with that many people involved. Too many cooks spoil the broth in my opinion, but I pray I'm wrong.

He says at 6:14 that he doesn't care about what happens in Washington. I think the goal of the republican party is not to eliminate government completely. They may wish to restrict its reach to a certain extent, but simply shutting its core lawmaking process down, along with many other services, parks, NASA, etc (none of which interfere with a person or business) well, it makes no sense, but he's basically using the "less government" as an excuse to say he doesn't care what happens either way.

You do understand that ACA was a last resort to pass health care reform. It is because Obama DID want to compromise with republicans, so he passed this bill when there were better options out there. The GOP will say NO to everything and they've proven that. Why should Obama let them get their way everytime? He has given them enough.
