Sprint iPhone 5 Text Message Fail to Send Problem Issues

I got this iPhone 6 I few weeks ago and I have not been able to sent messages to people and I havent got texts yet so I'm pretty sure I cane receive them either and I have no idea what to do

Everybody...I just had the same thing happen to me....call your carrier because your account has a block to it and they will help you unblock it from their end. Don't waste your time trying to figure it out. It's not your phones fault but at your carriers end. You can try to unblock this feature in your carrier account website, (mine is Verizon) but calling is faster. Took them minutes to find out the problem. Hope this helps.

Have exactly the same problem, and all the sites I have consulted give different advice. I have tried many things, used more than an hour on this now, and the problem is not solved. I have struggled with this problem for some weeks, actually, and like you I get messages but cannot reply to them.

I had the exact same problem and it turned out that my sim card wasn't working . And the gave me a new one and right away it let me send text messages and everything.

I had this problem too. This is what worked for me: I went to settings and made sure that my date and time were on "Set Automatically". Then I turned off IMessage and FaceTime. I turned off my device and restarted. Then I logged into IMessage and FaceTime. Everything works well now.

Don't waste people's time like that. 6 minutes to show everyone you don't know how to fix the problem?!?!

Hold home and power button it will hard reset you wont lose anything it just resets works all the time for me

iphone to iphone needs a Wi-Fi or internet connection  I rang my carrier tech support and apple tech,,.. both gave me that answer .. never happened on my 4s ,,..

Guys i have an iphone 5s (8.1.3)and i had the same problem.....i dont know exactly what that problem is but i just turned off wifi ....and then it worked.....i dont know if wifi was the problem....i think that is an issue for just a while and then u can send messages again

I found out how to fix it go to settings go to IMessage section and turn it off than turn it back on it works
