Ganz offensichtlich spinnen die Deutschen XD Aber ich liebe das ß <3
Kein Plan warum, war schon immer so ^^ -
In uppercase letters "ß" is written as "SZ". For example at "500 SCHUSZ"..

If you don't have a german keyboard layout, press Alt+225 (on the numpad)

Under any circumstances, You may never use B instead of ß. How about using β (Greek letter Beta) instead of ß? My dad thought ß was the Greek letter β.

Is the english s sound never used in beginning of german words?
-
When do you use single s, sz, double ss or ß
-
I thought it was called "Ringel s", but you never even mentioned that. How come?
-
When I first started learning German i thought it came from the greek letter β (beta) since in most modern fonts they look so similar, I didn't know it had such an interesting history behind it!
-
This is so confusing...
-
Are the people who think up rules that Germans must use for their language government officials, or are they just people who do this instead of spending a little more time on the toilet?
-
I stopped at 44 secs because just about everything said was just incorrect! I am Austrian btw...

Dear Andrew,
there can be another explanation for calling the "ß" a "sz". In Hungarian the letters "sz" stand for the unvoiced "s" as in "Fuß", whereas the single "s" stands for the "ʃ" as in "Schuh".
