If anyone can get Philips to do the right thing and fully refund on this double faulty product PLEASE let me know
-
DON'T BUY THIS! Mine was faulty! And Philips, having initially promised to give full refund of £99, later changed their minds and have offered me first £75 and later just £25. Their reason was initially because I had used it!
How would I have known it was faulty if I hadn't tried to use it ?!!
I am disabled and thought this would help me keep my teeth clean, but it just caused pain and bleeding. The pressure is much too great. I stopped gave it a couple of days and tried again - same pain and bleeding. After 3rd time of trying I gave up.
Water pressure MUCH too great ! (other brands have variable control)
I do not have gum disease. I have flossed regularly for 40 years and my dentist tells me how well I keep my teeth clean.
I was told to send it back.
I explained that the second fault was that I could no disconnect the attachment head so would be unable to get it back into the packaging. Finally very understanding woman called Anna Bloom asked me to just pack it up best I could and that I would get full refund.
I did this as asked.
After they had received it, a different and much less understanding person told me that he would only offer me £75. I explained I had had a very full interrogation by his colleague and the decision reached. He ignored that. He was quite rude.
He also told me it's ok to sell a product which makes perfectly healthy gums bleed !
He also told me it's ok to sell a product which makes perfectly healthy gums bleed !
Even a nurse has to have special extra training etc to break the skin of a patient
- causing (healthy) people to bleed is WRONG!
Later another customer service worker offered me just £25 - they now say this is because it is out of warranty.
New excuse not to do the right thing.
This understanding woman, Anna Bloom, has NOW DISAPPEARED from the company. I am worried for her. I am worried that she has been sacked for what she told/promised me. They just said she is no longer employed by them.
I also want my money back as they have the faulty airfloss.
Massive corporation Philips disgust me - DON'T BUY THIS! -
I am on my third one. They don't work for more than a couple of months. Then I have to buy a new one.
-
have you done a teardown yet ?
-
Too powerful I am sending it back
-
I had it couple years and it is really efficient but flosser is broken and I need the part couldn't find it.
-
As tests have proved this is far inferior to a waterpik (And it's also a lot more expensive)
-
Yeah doesn't seem as good as a water Pik
-
Its look like from 1990
-
It's an interesting device, I got one about a year ago.
What I didn't like about it was the small, very light, charging adaptor. I had to use double sided tape to keep it from flying around the basin when the pick wasn't on it. It would also fall over very easily, because it's just so small and light, and the flosser is so much larger, and a bit top heavy.
It does work well, but I don't use it every time I brush. I'll use it about twice a week... LOL! -
Question is whether people with sensitive teeth could actually stand the high pressured shots, or water flossers in general
-
you can use it to froth up a coffee
-
i have been using waterpik for years. Can't do without them. The problem with waterpik is as already mentioned here and I like to add that the hose does not last long and will break after a year or so. And you can't just replace the hose. It comes with the holder as well. I just bought this air floss and eagerly await for it to arrive. Good video and a professional voice.

you seem like a gem

@techmoan: did you ever figure out a good way to clean yours? I can't disassemble mine enough, and no matter how much I try, mold still grows inside even after extensive cleaning and air drying. Maybe it's a manufacturing error?

james may?? is that.. is that u??

Philips,,let's make things better,,,haha lol.
