Why support this project? - Because you like the story/plot/concept and want to see it´s full potential. - You love animal/human transformations (without cheap glow effect). - You think hand drawn 2D animation is awesome. - You want to support diversity in animation (especially LGBT+ positivity). - You want to help new creative talent (especially women) break into the animation industry. ………………………………………………………………………… How will this work? On November 15th I will launch the Kickstarter and then it will be a 4 weeks long race to reach the budget goal. The goal will be reached when people like you guys give pledges of any amount of your choosing. Anything from 1.50$ and more are welcome! ………………………………………………………………………… Unfourtunally I cannot help financially - Is there any other way that I could help? Then there is a simple solution: Spread the word! Share the news about the Kickstarter to all your friends and family! Share it on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. The more people hear about the project, the better will the chances of reaching the goal. ………………………………………………………………………… I am too young to pledge - What can I do? Do what my little sister would do – Ask your parents for help! Maybe you can convince them to count it as a Christmas present. ;) ………………………………………………………………………… What if I pledge money and the Kickstarter is a flop? Then you will simply get back all your money! :D ………………………………………………………………………… I hear that your budget is ambitious, but why is that? It´s just one episode. As a content creator I highly value animators/artists/voice actors/etc and their time and talent. Therefore the majority of the money will go to the people that I work with, to compensate for all their time and effort. ………………………………………………………………………… I have already seen the crossover version - How will this be any different? To start with, this will have 100% original character designs, animation and backgrounds. There will also be voice actors, never before seen scenes, and Victorian inspired fashion. This will basically be my full vision of the show; what it SHOULD have been all along. Also, this first part will be 20-25 minuets which is 4 times longer than the crossover version. ………………………………………………………………………… Will there be more episodes in the future? Yes, that would be amazing! My end goal is to have the whole of “To Belong” be a 12 part series. So if the pilot is successful then there will be another crowd raiser for more episodes. ………………………………………………………………………… Why 2D and not 3D? Because I love the art of hand-drawn 2D animation. 3D can be more than gorgeous, but I personally love the feel of traditional animation more. ………………………………………………………………………… Will the dialog be in English? Yes and it will include closed captions, as well as subtitles in 15+ languages. ………………………………………………………………………… Will Anya/Isaia still be into girls in the new version? Oh yes. She will remain very very sapphic. And I will not dance around that fact. And she is a far cry from the only LGBT+ character that will have clear representation. ;) ………………………………………………………………………… And finally… When is To Belong part 6 coming? My original plan was to be ready with it already, but because of the relatively impulsive decision to go ahead with a Kicktarter the plans have been changed. I have collected all material for the part, so all that needs to be done is start editing. If I do not manage to finish it before New Year, then it will at least be done in January-February.
