Well these are, what I think, the main reasons why the news sites did
this:
#1: they need clicks. clicks=ad revenue=money=$$$$$.
#2: hate unites people, unfortunately. And the media is,
traditionally, very professional at stirring up outrage.
#3: the old generation media are afraid the new generation media will
take over.
#4: the whole topic is taboo, even though it's almost 100 years since
the war and we learn about it to prevent the same stuff from happening
again, not as a weapon to hurt each other with.
#5: most of the main stream media likes to shit on Youtube creators
anyway. This unfortunately gave them something to talk about.
