so I went to asda today and first time ever I managed to leave my card at home 😬 I asked if they accepted android pay? yes I was told, we use all contactless payments including apple pay as people have used it!
ok after setting my card up with android pay a few days ago I thought I'd try it! and guess what? didn't work 😖 had to drive all the way back home for my card 😱 -
It's 2017 and still no word about android pay in Switzerland :(

Ive never heard of Google wallet 😲
-
now Samsung pay is out
-
I haven't been able to get this to work. And taking my phone out of it's case makes this app and others like it useless.
-
works beautifully in UK now
-
I've never used Android Pay but I'm willing to try soon!
-
Will I also be able to pick and choose which debit/credit card to pay with before the payment process like Apple Pay? I'm thinking about switching over to Android.

For me Samsung Pay is the winner. Not only can you use it at retailers that accept NFC but at retailers that have the older magnetic stripe terminals. It occasionally blows people's minds.
The only downside is the limited number of institutions that are willing to adopt it (cough, cough Discover card...) -
It doesnt work in most stores. I keep trying. Samsung works much easier.

How does the phone communicate with the reader? Do you need to have NFC enabled? Or does it use S beam?
