ok so i cant be heard until i up the mic boost, but it is still quiet and the quality is terrible. drivers are up to date. pls help

thanks man this was really helpful i had just made my pc and my friends were saying they couldn't hear me but they can hear me just fine now.

I was having the same issue, except my microphone was turning ALL the way down, AND it would "Mute" itself, sometimes it would do both at the same time. Talk about annoying!!!

I reloaded all my chip-set software (which is what you are showing here)
I used the "stop service" technique shown in other videos
I changed all the record settings per instructions from other sources

The ONLY actual solution I could find, was to "re-build" my machine from scratch, or restore from a clean backup. (I did the re-build trying to find which program was the thief, to no avail). This implies the issue is a virus. However all of my virus detection problems could NOT find it. So this is either a REALLY nefarious virus, or there is a system issue the manufacturers have not found.

help, the mic boost helped me but now my voice sounds like I'm in a storm, it sounds like there is a lot of wind and my voice soundsl ike its disconnecting for a split second every 0.2 seconds, the mic is messing up, help me.
