Will the charging work if it is not in direct contact? For example, Can I hide the charging base under a counter top?
And how thin would that top need to be? I would like to hide it under my kitchen granite countertop, I can thin out the section where it will sit, BUT i am not comfortable making it TOO thin. Will it work with a 3/8" thick piece of granite between the charging base and the phone? -
What I like about wireless charging by default is that you don't have to sacrifice your charging port

I had Qi wireless charging on my old phone, LOVED IT. I cant tell you how annoying it is to try and plug in the stupid lightning connector and try not to break it while doing so.
Qi is great, plop it down, watch the light blink, go on with life !! I will be ordering one of these cards. -

Wireless charging is not possible, they are using the word wireless which is an incorrect word for it.
