X Rebirth - Exploration

this game would break the market if it had a freaking good campaign in the style of freelancer, with solid character writing. Otherwise, it gets boring really fast, it seems to be the curse of freeroam spacesims, no matter how good they look or how many details are around.

Ich habe das letzte mal X gespielt, da war es noch der erste Teil "Beyond the Frontier" oder so ähnlich. Extrem erstaunlich, dass ihr von Egosoft kontinuierlich daran weitergearbeitet habt und was ich eben gesehen habe, war sehr sehr schön. Plant ihr vielleicht einen Release auf den Konsolen (PS4, Xbox One)? Dieses Genre ist praktisch nicht vertreten, und mit eurer Erfahrung könntet ihr da groß Fuß fassen.

This game is terrible...

I LOVE EGOSOFT!  I think X Rebirth could very well be one of my next greatest games to play for days on end ... But right now, other then bugs and badly needed updates, being glued to one of the most ugliest ships in the game, for the entire game, is a major drawback for me. For some people the idea of buying and flying any ship in the game doesn't matter much to them, and i'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, to each his own. But as for me and many others i believe, we just like being able to fly any spaceship of our choice. But X Rebirth is still very young, and when it matures a little with updates and fixes, then I'll give it a another go. Until then, I'll be waiting in my Argon Titan in X3TC ... :)

Keep up the good work Egosoft! The X universe has massive massive potential!

A lot can learned from Eve online in the exploration department. There is nothing what so ever to find in space aside from  random containers that only have junk. I suggest a large map mode be made tht can zoom in and out and mark the things you find. the things your scans can pick up SHOULDN'T be limited to containers. Pirate bases (unpon which after you clear out you get good loot, Old ships (some of which can actually be repaired, these ships can be unique and can only be gotten in this manner), high pay missions, rich mine fields.

In my opinion, exploration is a cornerstone of a space sim game like this. from this all sorts of possibilities open up. it's a shame to see so little effort was put into it.   

To all watching this video! Be aware - the released version is only an pre-alpha version with massively bugs. Watch some reviews of this game, but don´t buy it.

this game is too badly optimized.. i have a very powerful computer and even with the newest patches i get a low framerate

This video says X Rebirth - Exploration. Part of exploration would be using a map I would have thought, you know, to see were you are, were you have been and such. It is odd that this, and other promotional videos, never show you the map. Why? well, for those who have not had the unfortunate experience of trying to play this "game", I will tell you. It is because the map system is not worth the name. The sector maps seem to be stuck fully zoomed in, and this means that you can never see an entire sector in the same view. There are no zoom and panning controls either. This is not a bug, it is disgracefull design. Many times you will go to the map, an annoying process by itself, and not even be able to see your own ship marked because you are in a part of the sector that is not in view. All other aspects of the "map" get worse from there. Have "fun" exploring.......

Game is awful. Perfect example of dumbing down for casual gamers that ends up appealing to nobody.

into and cant dock ! Frustrating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

looks good but its broken big time, it feels like a beta, massive shit storm, as bad as WarZ, shame. FIX IT EGOSOFT 

I'll explore as soon as the game goes over 15fps...
